Welcome
Hello ladies and gents, welcome to the Region D Weblog. This is the interactive version of the Collegiate Newsletter, and is intended to complement the resources already available on SWE’s National and Regional Websites. As an interactive web page, we expect you to comment, ask questions, make suggestions and send us your complaints. We’ll do the best to address your issues and solve your problems. And you are more than welcome to send in suggestions for submissions and articles. You don’t really have to write much, either… pictures are welcome, too!
QUICK GUIDE TO THE BLOG
If you’re unfamiliar with Blogs, you’ve noticed that as soon as you enter the main page, you’re getting the most recent news, instead of a more formal welcome page. That’s pretty much standard for all blogs; the most recent news is placed up front and center, so that every time you visit, you can easily tell if there’s something new or not, without having to follow any additional links. Even if you are familiar with blogs, you might benefit reading the rest of this guide.
What you read in the front page are “posts”. Each post is assigned to a Category; a list of all the Categories appears in the left sidebar. Only a handful of the most recent posts will appear on this blog (somewhere from 3 to 6, depending on the length of the blogs). You can find older posts by searching under each category.
At the end of each post, you are given the option to add any comments. Feel free to add your comments, this promotes discussion and is the whole idea of having a blog. However, please be patient. Most comments won’t appear immediately, and all comments will be moderated.
Across the top of the Blog is a menu bar, providing links to the different Pages. These Pages contain more permanent information than the Categories (they won’t be changing as often), except for the Gallery and the Calendar.
If you’ve got questions, comments, complaints and suggestions, feel free to let me know. Send an e-mail to rcne-d@swe.org, and I’ll do my best to answer your questions ASAP.
